Jimmy and Pat go to China

A light-hearted but informative account of a journey to China by Australian Aboriginal artist Jimmy Pike with author Pat Lowe and Chinese Australian artist Zhou Xiaoping.
Following the artists’ exhibition in Zhou’s home-town, Hefei, the three friends go travelling. They climb the Yellow Mountains, visit Buddhist temples, see the famous Terracotta Warriors, and climb the Great Wall. With photos and Pike’s quirky drawings, it will appeal to older children and adults.

Pat’s account is less a travelogue than a gentle, tongue-in-cheek commentary on Jimmy’s responses to a country and culture very different from his own.
